No Döner, no Köfte but Manti! Manti are turkish dumplings. Traditionally consisting of a spiced ground beef mixture in a dough wrapper. But no worries, vegetarians in the world, at Lezizel Manti they also have vegan Manti with a broccoli-spinach dough. Manti are served topped with yoghurt and garlic, and spiced with red pepper powder and melted butter. Because Manti are damn yummy some people, including the two brothers as well as Ottoman sultans, are used two eat Manti almost every day. To not get bored the two brothers came up with the idea of pimping the traditional dish in adding toppings like olives, feta cheese, spinach, walnuts or truffle and, psst…. even more are planned.
The Manti at Lezizel are handmade, pasteurised and vakuum-packed to take home with you. No preservatives, no flavor enhancers, no flavouring substances. Non-perishable up to three weeks and ready to serve in ten minutes. Because the production is complex and takes time, even Turkish Mamas buy their Manti at Lezizel. The best compliment one can get.
Two brothers with a little addiction to perfectionism: from the concept, the interior, the design of the logo to every single handpicked spice, everything is a result of trial and error. Authentic and lovely! Every step from the supply of the ingredients, the preparation to the packaging is controlled. Following the philosophy of creating a product which they would serve friends and family and of course eat themselves. Try also their homemade lemonades, teas, ayran or delicious desserts.
Lezizel Manti can be found either at Thalkirchner Straße 129 (Sendling) or close to Gärtnerplatz, Corneliusstraße 6. Cosy atmosphere, nice interior and damn yummy food.
Lezizel means delicious hand implying that they are handmade and as tasty as mother used to make it. Approved by leading Turkish mamas but try yourself!
